Reinforced Cut Slope Structures (RCSS)

The Reinforced cut slope structures are generally required in the hilly, mountainous, Plateau regions. These are different from Fill Slope structures. These are required when it is necessary to protect a slope from failure due to various reasons like landslide, earthquakes etc. etc.

In this type of reinforced structures firstly the slope is re-profiled after clearing Debris and loose rocks. The resulting slope is then covered with Geogrid. Plati - Drains are installed in the structure so that water which accumulates in the structure has a path to get removed.

Anchors are installed as per specification. The length of anchor nail extends out from face (so that it can be tightened using a bolt) to a zone behind Potential failure slope zone. After that re-vegetation is done so that structure blends with the natural surroundings.
